Senior Fellow Program at the Research Center Deutscher Sprachatlas

Senior Fellows receive primarily nonmaterial support. Applicants must have their own or external funding for the duration of their research stay.
Application deadlines: 31 March (for stays starting in October) and 30 September (for stays starting in April)

Target group

Postdocs, Professors (R2 Recognised Researcher, R3 Established Researcher, R4 Leading Researcher)

What we offer

• 3- to 12-month research stay
• Online account at Philipps-Universität Marburg
• Use of the Regional Language Research and Documentation Center, including research library
• Work station at the Research Center Deutscher Sprachatlas
• Welcome service: assistance in finding accommodation, school/kindergarten if necessary; guided tours of the building, library, and archives
• Upon request and in consultation: participation in courses or workshops of the institute, observation in project or working groups
• Participation in the life of the institute
• Certificate

Expectations

• 90-minute presentation in the series of Georg Wenker lectures in a festive setting
• Participation in colloquia
• Post on our blog “Sprachspuren”
• For a stay of 6 months or more: one course (2 SWS) as part of a remunerated teaching assignment (B.A. or M.A. level, also possible as a block course)
