To explore the potentials of data visualizations for digital film historiography both from a theoretical and practical-exploratory perspective, the research group pursues a transdisciplinary and collaborative approach.
To this end, we work closely together with national and international project partners. The international Women Film Pioneers Project (WFPP) at Columbia University and DFF – Deutsches Filminstitut & Filmmuseum in Frankfurt am Main who have both kindly agreed to provide the project with their research data and other sources. For the purpose of creating and analyzing data visualizations the research group collaborates with the working group Graphics and Multimedia at Philipps-Universität Marburg.
In order to foster the international exchange with leading scholars in the field of digital film historiography, the research group facilitates three-month fellowships at Philipps-Universität Marburg.
We look forward to further projects and initiatives for exchange and joint activities. Please contact us for collaborations.
