Grade Management

Generally, written exams are returned by the lecturers. However, they may also be left for collection at the Business Office where documents of any kind are kept for a period of three semesters. 

Grades at the Department of English and American Studies are administered online using Marvin.

Likewise the grades can be retrieved via Marvin. Here, the username and password of the HRZ account have to be indicated that each student receives automatically upon their enrolment. In the menu bar on the left, you have the function "grade overview" (Notenspiegel"), which appears after the selection of the course of studies. 

The individual examination offices (Prüfungsämter) are responsible for issuing documents with comprehensive information about academic performance (containing all details on modules) and the official grade overviews (transcripts of records) as well as the provisional grade point averages intended for student loan applications, exam registrations, transfers to different universities, etc.
