We are currently working on a point-and-click adventure to offer prospective students some insight into the study programme B.A. Language, Discourse and Power. In the game, pupils won't only get to know the content and teachers of the study programme but will also be introduced to the university as a whole, as well as to the Institute for English and American Studies, in particular. The Central Student Advising Office (ZAS) is the central place to go for information and advice on studying at Philipps University.
Walk-in office hours: Mon 9:30-12:30, Wed 14:00-17:00, Thu 14:00-17:00.

University entrance qualification
If you are applying with a foreign university entrance qualification, we offer further information about the application process.
Alternatively, you can apply with a German General Higher Education Entrance Qualification, a German Specialized Higher Education Entrance Qualification1 or entrance qualification for studies at universities of applied sciences, a German master craftsperson's examination, or comparable German degrees of vocational upgrading training or comparable professional qualifications.
Foreign applicants must provide proof of knowledge of the German language. The Level DSH II on the German language examination for university admission is required.

Required skills specific to the course of study
When studying the program as a major, you are required to provide proof of a very high level of English proficiency (C1), when studying the program as a minor, it requires the English proficiency level B2.
