The FAIR Data Spaces project aims to build a common cloud-based data space for business and science by merging the two initiatives "Gaia-X" and "National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI)".

The collaborative project Deep-iAMR is focussing on the topic of antibiotic resistance. The project aims to optimise so-called artificial neural networks and deep learning concepts. In future, they should be able to differentially predict and classify antibiotic resistance mechanisms within newly sequenced bacterial genomes and recognise potential new antibiotic targets.

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is the third most common cause of death worldwide. The aim of the integrated research platform ‘PerMed-COPD’ is to implement a novel personalised strategy for the treatment and prevention of COPD.

The collaborative project Deep-Legion is focussing on Legionnaires' disease, a particularly virulent form of pneumonia. The aim is to identify so-called virulence factors - properties that determine the pathogenic effect - of the human pathogenic bacterium Legionella pneumophila.
