MAM - Marburger Arbeitsgemeinschaft Mathematik

The "Marburger Arbeitsgemeinschaft Mathematik" is a series of meetings in Marburg that started in 2017 and was inspired by similar activities with the same name from Bonn and Oberwolfach. The current focus is on topics in pure mathematics at the interface of geometry, topology and global analysis.

In contrast to classical conferences, the working groups mainly deal with current research topics and open problems. Experts are welcome as well as non-specialists who want to broaden their horizons in mathematics, or young researchers who want to familiarize themselves with a subject area for future research. The idea is to "learn by doing" - similar to the Seminaire Bourbaki. Most participants volunteer for one of the lectures described in the working group's program, but participants who just listen are also welcome. After the application deadline, the organizers select the actual presenters to give them enough time to understand the topic and prepare for their presentations.

The next "Marburger Arbeitsgemeinschaft Mathematik" on quaternion-Kähler manifolds (see below) is planned for February 2025.
