Transcript of Records
At the end of their visit in Marburg, exchange students can again use the Marvin system to download a transcript of records (ToR) with the grades of all exams that have been taken. Note that access to Marvin is restricted to your Marburg University student account. The student account will expire at the end of a visit, so exchange students should download the ToR as soon as possible when the last grades have been entered into the Marvin system, which is usually one months after the examination period ended.
Please note that grades from language courses cannot be entered into the Marvin system. They grand ETCS points, but will not appear on the transcript of records. Instead, the language center will issue language certificates that include the grade and ETCS points earned in the course.
If grades are delayed or missing, please contact your course instructor and ask her/him, if your grade has been entered successfully into the Marvin system. If your grades are still not visible, please contact the examination office (Prüfungsbüro). The international office has no access to your exam results in Marvin.
For students that started their exchange before the winter semester 2026/2027: You might not have access to Marvin, yet, and will get your ToR from MobilityOnline. For this, the foreign representative needs to collect the grades, enter them into MobilityOnline and initiate the ToR issuing process. Note that your grades are not transmitted automatically to the foreign representative. For this reason, exchange students need to notify their instructors to send their grades to the department 12 foreign representative (Auslandsbeauftragter). This is particularly important for courses that have been taken with other departments and includes language courses. The exchange students also have to make sure that their course lists in MobilityOnline are up-to-date (Belegliste)! Otherwise, grades for missing courses cannot be entered or missing grades for actually not-taken courses will delay the ToR creation process significantly. If a course from the LA has not been taken, the exam was not taken, or the exam has not been passed, students need to notify the foreign representative of department 12 that these courses have been failed, because otherwise this information will delay the ToR creation indefinitely long. We also note that there are two examination periods in Marburg: One at the beginning of semester holidays and one at the end. Exchange students can take their exams in either of these slots and if a course has been failed in the first attempt, students can re-do the exam in the second slot. So if a course has not been successfully completed in the first examination period, the ToR will not be issued until the end of the second examination period, because students can make a second attempt in the second period for any failed exam. However, if the ToR should be issued before the second examination period although exams have been failed, notify the foreign representatives that you forgo a second attempt and the courses should be entered as not passed into the ToR; only then a ToR can be issued early.
