Selection interview
A selection interview lasts approximately 15 minutes and can be conducted in person or as a video conference so long as the applicant’s identity is assured.
The selection interview obtains information on the applicant’s motivation and aptitude, which shall be assessed using the following parameters:
- The applicant should again explain his/her motivation.
- Verification of field-specific knowledge
- Summary in English of the applicant’s undergraduate work (Clarity and consistency in presentation, ability to place past work into current state of knowledge, open questions, possible further development of the topic.)
The decisive factor in the evaluation of the interview is determining the overall impression resulting from the synopsis of the parameters listed above.
The selection interview is to be assessed using a scale ranging from 0 to 15 points. Applicants who have earned more than 12 points will be considered suitable.
