Congratulations to Anton, who recently successfully defended his master thesis! Anton explored the photoluminescence of molecular single crystals at various temperatures. By combining spectral and spatial information of the exciton dynamics at the picosecond time scale, he was able to learn more about the peculiar mechanism of exciton diffusion in tetracene and the role of crystal imperfections.
Moreover, Anton studied the low temperature photoluminescence of perylene single crystals of different polymorphs in polarization-resolved experiments, with some interesting insights into short-lived features.
Thanks for the hard work and for fitting so many spectra!
We are happy that Anton has decided to stay for a PhD, where he will focus more on the luminescence of molecular systems.
