Cationic Bismuth Species: in a cooperative approach with researchers from the universities of Marburg, Würzburg, and Kent, we have investigated the unusual coordination chemistry of dihalo bismuth cations. The results have intriguing implications for the Lewis acidity of neutral bismuth halides. These findings have just been accepted for publication in Chem.
