25.01.2023 Bismuth interactions: preferably soft!
Preferably soft: Kai's manuscript about the insertion of unsymmetry heterocumulenes into the Bi-N bond of cationic bismuth amides has been accepted for publication in ChemPlusChem! The work shows that the softly Lewis acidic bismuth atom tends to prefer bonding interactions with soft donor atoms. This helps to control the chemo- and regioselectivity of these reactions and will aid in the development of design principles for the selective construction of heterocycles. Congratulations to all the contributors!
