General information

Theoretical chemistry (TC) is offered as an elective subject at the Philipps-University of Marburg. As a student, you can convince yourself of the special attractiveness of the most beautiful subject (from our point of view) and be fascinated by this field through the diverse range of courses in Theoretical Chemistry. More information about Theoretical Chemistry can be found in the FAQ. The successful attendance of the course TC1 “Fundamentals of Theoretical Chemistry” is the necessary prerequisite in the Master's Program of Chemistry to be able to take exams in the courses that build on it. Otherwise, there are no further formal dependencies between the courses of Theoretical Chemistry in the current Master's program. And, of course, you are welcome to attend the lectures of TC as an interested participant, without having an eye on possible credit points that can be earned.
