We study the mechanisms controlling the spatiotemporal organization of bacterial cells using a combination of genetics, cell biology, biochemistry, structural biology, and bioinformatics. We are associated with the Faculty of Biology at the University of Marburg, the Max Planck Institute for Terrestrial Microbiology, and the Center for Synthetic Microbiology (Synmikro).
