Inspired by nature, our group pursues multidisciplinary research focused on the design of novel photosensitive molecules capable of sensing biological processes, and remotely controlling the sophisticated cellular machinery. We use molecular approaches to address essential biological questions, and apply the principles and techniques of organic chemistry combined with biological questions. Within the M4C initiative, we develop new chemical tools to sense, control and stress the cellular environment at molecular detail.

Research Focus:

Microbes as Responders; Microbes providing Solutions
