Prerequisite: 

Immatriculation for the study programme Human Medicine at the Philipps-University Marburg in the clinical study phase

Format: 

Compulsory attendance, regular and successful participation in the seminars, passing the final exam

Teaching Contents:

  • Clinical studies and study planning: study types, systematic errors in study planning and implementation, procedures to avoid systematic errors
  • Evaluation and statistics: Diagnosis (sensitivity, specificity, confidence intervals), therapy (suitable quantification, statistical tests, p-values), prognosis (survival curves, correlation, modelling)
