Constant development of fluorescence microscopic techniques coupled with a growing number of available imaging software packages and powerful computers for data-evaluation enables us to present cellular processes in an increasingly detailed manner. This includes transport processes between distince cellular compartments as well as dynamic processes or protein-protein interactions inside individual cell organelles. Our imaging unit has set itself the goal of dealing with the various issues arising from individual research projects with adequate microscopic equipment.
