Analysis of patients with idiopathic Parkinson's disease performing the UPDRS in the ON and OFF state using an infrared camera.

Description

In this project, patients with idiopathic Parkinson's disease are assessed using the UPDRS Part III in the ON and OFF states. The UPDRS items are scored using an infrared camera. This camera uses a depth sensor to detect 25 joint points, mapping the patient's skeleton so that movements and their speed can be recorded as the UPDRS items are performed. The clinically recorded UPDRS score and the movement data from the camera will be analysed to see if the Kinect data can reliably predict the UPDRS score.
