BMBF PROTECT-AD
The PROTECT-AD network in the research network on mental disorders consists of seven university institutes and addresses anxiety disorders. Although anxiety disorders have been shown to be highly treatable, exposure-based therapies for anxiety disorders are not widely used and often not expertly delivered.
With the help of two multicenter clinical trials and three accompanying research projects in adults, children and adolescents, new insights into the mechanisms of action of these therapies will be obtained. The studies will apply and validate improved therapeutic treatment procedures. A health economic accompanying project formulates and tests effective measures to transfer these new findings into routine application.
