I studied psychology at the University of Marburg and finished my masters degree in March 2022. During my studies I worked as a research assistant at the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy and wrote my master thesis focusing on neuropsychological correlates of psychiatric disorders. In April 2022, I started as a PhD student working in the DFG-Forschergruppe 2107 (https://for2107.de) and the Psychiatric Control Systems Lab.
During my PhD I will investigate longitudinal changes in the brain associated with psychiatric illnesses (i.e. affective disorders, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder) using MRI data and employing methods of machine learning. I will especially focus on detecting factors that contribute to increases and decreases in illness severity and functioning of patients.
