Translational Oncology (Müller/Reinartz Lab) Our research interest is molecular oncology with a focus on human ovarian cancer.
-
Cellular Signalling in Cancer (Lauth Lab) We are looking into the functional role of tumor-cell secreted Hedgehog ligands on the tumor cells themselves and on their surrounding normal stromal cells.
-
Institute for Tumor Immunology (Pogge von Strandmann Lab) Immune cells are often recruited into the malignant tissue, where they are reprogammed not to damage the malignant cells but to support tumour growth. With focus on Natural killer (NK)- cells we investigate how malignant cells communicate with host immune cells to establish the tumor microenvironment.
-
Transcriptional Regulation (Adhikary Lab) Deregulated transcription is causal for a large fraction of human diseases such as cancer and autoimmune disorders. Our interest is to elucidate how regulation of specific transcripts relevant to pathogenesis is brought about mechanistically.
-
Institute of Systems Immunology The overall aim of our research is to understand the molecular and metabolic mechanisms governing reciprocal relationship between T cells and tissue-specific environment in cancer, pathogen-driven as well as in sterile inflammation.
