Welcome to the Research Unit: Empirical Educational Research

Our research focuses on predictors of educational participation throughout the life-span and on how people deal with intra-individual conflicts of personal goals in educational contexts. We conduct empirical studies in a variety of educational settings such as secondary schools, universities and further education. Regarding methodology, we develop applied experimental study designs and use idiographic-nomothetic approaches to collecting data.
Our teaching covers introductory and advanced lectures and courses on empirical research and evaluation in education for students in the bachelor's and master's degree programmes in educational science.
