HeFDI - Hessian Research Data Infrastructures
This statement informs you about the processing of your personal data by
the joint project HeFDI – Hessische Forschungsdateninfrastrukturen
(Hessian Research Data Infrastructures), led by the Philipps-Universität
Marburg at the Servicezentrum digital gestützte Forschung/Stabsstelle
Forschungsdatenmanagement (Service Centre for Digitally Supported
Research/Executive Department for Research Data Management) of the
Philipps-Universität Marburg (UMR), Biegenstr. 36, 35037 Marburg,
Germany.

2. Data that are processed
We process personal data of our participants. These are: Name,
institutional affiliation, email address, status group, field of study.
3. Legal basis and purposes of the processing
- We process the aforementioned personal data in accordance with the
provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the
Hessian Data Protection and Freedom of Information Act (HDSIG).
Processing of personal data takes place: - To fulfil contractual obligations (Art. 6 para. 1 b GDPR): As far as
necessary, we process your data beyond the actual fulfilment of the
contract to protect the legitimate interests of us or third parties. This
is done, for example, to subsequently pass on information about our
events. - Based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 a GDPR): Insofar as you have
given us consent to process personal data for specific purposes, the
lawfulness of this processing is based on consent. Consent given can
be revoked informally at any time by sending an e-mail to
hefdi@uni-marburg.de. Please note that the revocation only takes
effect for the future. - Due to legal requirements (Art. 6 para. 1 c GDPR) or for the public
benefit (Art. 6 para. 1 e GDPR).
4. Recipients of the data and storage period
Your personal data will not be transferred outside the Philipps-Universität
Marburg and the authorised service providers.
We process and store your personal data as long as it is necessary for the
fulfilment of our contractual and legal obligations.
5. Data protection rights of the data subject
- According to the regulations on data protection, data subjects have rights
based on the data processing of personal data by the controller for the
purposes mentioned above. - You have the right to information according to Article 15 of the
GDPR, the right to rectification according to Article 16 of the GDPR,
the right to erasure according to Article 17 of the GDPR, the right to
restriction of processing according to Article 18 of the GDPR, the
right to notification according to Article 19 of the GDPR and the right
to data portability according to Article 20 of the GDPR. - You have the right to revoke your consent to data processing in
whole or in part at any time without giving reasons. You can declare
this revocation informally to the Research Data Management Office
of the Philipps-Universität Marburg. A revocation will render any
further use of your data inadmissible for the future. The lawfulness
of the previous processing of your personal data remains unaffected
by your revocation. - Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the
supervisory authority if you are of the opinion that the processing of
your personal data is not lawful. The competent supervisory
authority is the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and
Freedom of Information, Postfach 3163, 65021 Wiesbaden,
poststelle@datenschutz.hessen.de. - The Philipps-Universität Marburg, represented by the President,
Biegenstraße 10, 35037 Marburg, is responsible for processing your
personal data. You can contact the Data Protection Officer at the
