HeFDI participates in various projects where research data management is tested and taught in a practical way.

TRUST TRUST (Training for Sensitive Research Data Management) was sponsored as one of five winning projects in the nationwide ideas competition “Science in Digital Transformation” funded by the BMBF. As a building block in Philipps University's strategy to anchor the teaching of data literacy in undergraduate degree programmes, TRUST assessed didactic scenarios for teaching skills using the example of particularly sensitive research data.

FOKUS In the FOKUS project, five HeFDI universities cooperated to develop subject-specific, modular training units in the field of research data management. For this purpose, well-founded, subject-specific and re-usable teaching content was developed, and pilot teaching events were carried out and evaluated.

Research Data Management Planning in Mechanical Engineering Award-winning contribution by TU Darmstadt and RWTH Aachen University to the BMBF ideas competition on “Science in Digital Transformation” (2018). The goal was to start a process and establish a procedure for creating subject-specific data management plan templates using mechanical engineering as an example, including the implementation in RDMO.
