Security Test EVIL TWIN 2020

The secure use of WiFi requires the correct configuration of end devices, otherwise stealing passwords is extremely easy. To investigate the situation, the HRZ is conducting an attack simulation under real conditions in cooperation with the Department of Computer Science, working group of Prof. Freisleben. From 07-10 until 09-30-2020, so- called Evil-Twin devices will be operated at various locations in Marburg  to test the end devices. If your device does not pass the test, you will be contacted and supported in setting it up correctly.

The results of the tests will be summarized and published in a final thesis.
