Study trip to Namibia
On the trail of the Herero and Namaqua genocide
History, Remembrance, Politics - 1905 - 2019
For the winter semester 2019/2020 the ICWC is organising a study trip to Namibia on the genocide of the Herero and Nama in German South West Africa (today Namibia). From 8 to 19 December 2019, scholarly exchange with representatives from politics and the judiciary as well as meetings with civil society actors are planned. A first information event will take place on 01 April 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at the ICWC. Interested students can apply to the ICWC until 10 April 2019. Seminars and organizational meetings are expected to start in the summer semester 2019.

Application: Letter of motivation by e-mail to the ICWC by 10 April 2019 (Participation: max. 10 students)
Personal contribution: between 200 € and 400 € per person, depending on the amount of the grant.
