Events

The ICWC is involved in the organisation of numerous and diverse events. The annual highlight is the Marburg Lecture on International Criminal Law which is traditionally held by a prominent guest from academia or practice and which takes place in the venerable Old Auditorium of Philipps University. Furthermore, the ICWC invites the public to its colloquium and hosts conferences, lecture series, lectures, workshops as well as panel discussions on a regular basis.

Marburg Lecture on International Criminal Law

Every year, the ICWC commemorates the occasion of its foundation with an annual celebration and the Marburg Lecture on International Criminal Law, which is always given by a distinguished guest from the area.
Colloquium

A colloquium with guest lectures and discussions by scientists from abroad and from Marburg takes place monthly at the ICWC.
Conferences

The Research Centre regularly organises international conferences that promote the worldwide exchange of scholars and practitioners.
Lecture Series

For the 70th anniversary of the Trial of the Main War Criminals before the International Military Tribunal in Nuremberg, the ICWC organised a lecture series with renowned experts from various disciplines.
