"Bridge Scholarships Iran" for qualified PhD students, postdocs and university teachers who have left their home country Iran due to the current political situation.

The three month "Bridge Scholarships Iran" offer Iranians, who have left their home country due to the current political situation and are already in Germany, an opportunity to build or continue their academic career.

The aim of the programme is to support researchers from Iran with bridge scholarships to start or continue their research project as part of a doctorate or postdoctoral phase at a state or state-recognised higher education institution resp. non-university research institution in Germany.

Iranian doctoral students, postdocs and university teachers of Philipps-Universität Marburg of all disciplines can apply for a scholarship at the DAAD. Funding is provided for research projects with the aim of obtaining a doctoral degree or carrying out a research project. Applicants should already have a valid residence title in Germany.

The funding period is maximum 3 months between November 2023 and January 2024. The scholarship benefit includes 1,200 euros for PhD students, 2,000 euros for postdocs and 2,150 euros for (assistant) professors with possible additional benefits.
