Former Academic Career Development Center

The Academic Career Development Center was established in 2012. Its role was to promote, in particular, junior scholars with a doctoral degree at Philipps-Universität Marburg who worked in areas of applied research. It was integrated into MARA in 2015.

The Academic Career Development Center at Philipps-Universität Marburg was a program that specialized in personnel development for the purpose of promoting postdoctoral junior scholars and other scholars actively involved in research. Its focus was on research, leadership, and management skills. The program comprised workshops, coaching, and special offerings for the promotion of female junior scholars. Another component was the certifying "Designing and Managing Research Projects" program – a joint venture between Philipps-Universität Marburg and the University of Kassel that targeted academic staff, providing continuing education alongside the job, and doctoral candidates on the verge of completing their doctorate.
