Working Group 10 (pre. 21) Ancient World (2009–2017)

The Working Group Ancient World, which was founded in 2009, was interested in an interdisciplinary network of Marburg doctoral candidates who worked with ancient cultures. Anyone interested in discussing interdisciplinary issues and developing common projects was welcome.

On July 8, 2012, the Working Group co-organized an excursion with Philipps-Universität Marburg's Institute for Classical Archaeology to the Roman-Germanic Central Museum's Department of Ancient Seafaring. A goal of the Working Group was to carry out and provide support for these sorts of projects and to promote cooperation between the humanities departments.

The Working Group Ancient World welcomed doctoral candidates of archaeology and other fields of study and departments that required the candidates to learn about the ancient world as part of their doctoral research.
