Welcome Day for new Professors
On October 31, 2024, a warm reception was held for the newly appointed professors in the Alte Aula of Philipps-Universität Marburg. The event began with a relaxed buffet, which gave the new members of the university the opportunity to socialize and make initial connections.
The University's Presidential Board welcomed the newcomers with an inspiring speech highlighting the institution's values and goals. Participants were given valuable information about the University to help them make a smooth transition into their new role.
An informative and engaging first half of the event, which provided space for questions and exchanges, was followed by a coffee break, which provided a further opportunity for networking. As participants continued their conversations over coffee, the atmosphere was one of curiosity and engagement.
This was followed by the "Uni Market", where various departments introduced themselves and provided insights into their work and offerings. Many valuable contacts were made.
The event concluded with a reception at which the new professors had the opportunity to talk to members of the Executive Board, heads of administration, heads of department, deans and each other. These personal discussions opened up numerous perspectives for future collaboration.
Overall, the event was a great success and a wonderful start for the new members of Philipps-Universität Marburg. We look forward to an exciting and productive time together!
