Scientific posters are a very important tool for communicating your research at a conference. A scientific poster contains a motivational title, an introduction explaining your research question, abstracts about your approaches and results, and presents your results in graphical form. This workshop aims at the practical realization of your scientific poster.
This workshop will impart the fundamental principles of design as well as a knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign. The fundamental functions of these programs will be explained and trained with the help of practical exercises. After developing an individual design concept for your own scientific subject, you will realize it in InDesign.
Intended Learning Outcomes
- Aided by the fundamental principles of design, you are able to assess and design scientific posters (content-based input).
- You are able to develop a design concept for scientific posters on the basis of theoretical principles of design (practical exercises).
- You master the necessary functions of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign, and you will be able to use them effectively (practical input).
- You are able to realize your own developed design concept in a technical and artistic way (practical exercises).
