This workshop for advanced postdocs offers a bit of background on the new EU funding programme, Horizon 2020, that began January, 2014. You will also get some to-do and not-to-do tips on writing proposals for EU funding possibilities.
If you are an advanced postdoc, you may be eligible to apply for a Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (MC IF) or an European Research Council (ERC) Starting Grant. Based on input from the Marburg University EU Liaison Officer and successful grant applicants, this workshop conveys information about application criteria and successful grant writing.

- Overview on Horizon 2020.
- Marie Curie Individual Fellowships and European Research Council Starting Grants:
- Information on eligibility criteria, budgets, deadlines, and
- Grant writing to dos and not to dos
- Will be discussed by the EU Liaison Officer and successful applicants.
- Individualized advising/appointment making for potential follow-up is possible.
Intended Learning Outcomes
Briefly, after the workshop you
- Are aware of application requirements, offerings and deadlines, and
- Know how to write successful applications for these two grant types.

Please note that this is not an English language course. Proficiency in English at the B2 level of competency is required.
