EU Funding for Advanced Postdocs

If you are an advanced postdoc, you may be eligible to apply for a Marie Curie Individual Fellowship or a European Research Council (ERC) Starting Grant. Based on input from the Marburg University EU Liaison Officer as well as successful grant applicants, this workshop addresses:

1. What are the eligibility criteria, budgets, application deadlines?
2. How do I write a good application? You can also get to know/set an individual consultation appointment with the EU Liaison Officer.
   This workshop is divided into four parts:

• Context: Horizon 2020 Overview.
• Marie Curie Individual Fellowships: Information on eligibility criteria, budgets, deadlines as well as MC IF grant writing to dos and not to dos will be discussed by the EU Liaison Officer and the successful applicant.
• ERC Starting Grants: Information on eligibility criteria, budgets, deadlines as well as ERC Starting Grant grant writing to dos and not to dos will be discussed by the EU Liaison Officer and the successful applicant.
• Individualized advising/appointment making for potential follow-up.

Intended Learning Outcomes

Briefly, after the workshop you

• are aware of application requirements, offerings and deadlines, and
• know how to write successful applications for these two grant types.

Please note that this is not an English language course. Proficiency in English at the B2 level of competency is required.
