The continuous reduction in financial support provided by faculties, universities, and research institutions is increasing the importance of third-party funding for scientific projects.
This workshop delivers general information on structure and programs of research funding in Germany. Particular emphasis will be placed on differences in the logic of funding programs (what should be funded and why?), and on the requirements and formalities of each individual application.
Intended Learning Outcomes
After this workshop,
- you will be able to search for funding opportunities in a systematic and strategic way, and you will know how to evaluate the suitability of your findings for your individual project,
- you will have a proper plan for developing a grant application for your project,
- you will have a good overview of the grant application process and know which steps to take in which phase,
- you will have specified the goals and objectives of your project, clearly positioned yourself in the field, and developed an adequate justification strategy, and
