Internationalization is a growing demand in the labor market. Working and conducting research in academia offers numerable opportunities for career development in international working environments. It potentially paves the path to job opportunities inside and outside academia in different international fields of work. Therefore, researchers need to be familiar with their skills, should develop ideas about career opportunities, ought to clarify their motivations and their individual work-life balance, and enable themselves to further develop their careers.
This workshop aims to provide orientation about career opportunities and especially clarify the needs and skills involved in different international working environments. The first day will offer the possibility to develop a more strategic view of the career landscape and one's own skills profile in this context. Group work and group coaching sessions will help participants to develop ideas for advancing their individual careers. The second day will offer 45-minute time slots in which each participant will have the opportunity to receive individual advice.
