Writing a scientific text often poses a challenge to many young scientists. Good planning and the knowledge of important tools can help you to be more effective and efficient in your own scientific writing. In this workshop, you will learn how to structure your writing process well and use productive phases fruitfully. You will learn which difficulties you might face in the writing process and how to avoid or overcome writer's block.
Intended Learning Outcomes
- You will be aware of the most important characteristics of a scientific text.
- You will have an overview of the writing process for a scientific paper.
- You will be familiar with stumbling blocks and difficulties in the scientific writing process.
- You will be able to draw on your own resources to overcome writer's block.
- You will feel more confident in organizing your writing process and look forward to tackling your next writing project.
Didactic Methods
Practical exercises, trainer input, group work
Requirements
To participate in the online course you need a PC/ laptop with a current browser (recommended: Chrome) as well as a headset (or speakers and microphone), a webcam, and a stable Internet connection.
Proficiency in English at the B2 level of competency is required.
