Are you a researcher who has  and / or will be conducting fieldwork in conflict zones? Would you like to consciously navigate the ethical, political and psychological complexities and ensure your well-being post-research? Accompanied by an expert with extensive experience in conflict research and systematic therapy, this workshop series offers a safe and supportive environment to reflect, share experiences, and expand your capacities in dealing with challanges of (decolonial) research in conflict areas. 

Intended Learning Outcomes 

• Strategies for debriefing and processing field experiences.
• Techniques for managing emotional and psychological challenges.
• Building support networks and accessing resources for ongoing support.
• Navigating ethical considerations and potential implications of your research.
• Practical tips for transitioning back to everyday life and academic work.

Didactic Methods 

Guided reflection and peer-consultation, practical exercises and conceptual impulses

Requirements 

Proficiency in English at the B2 level of competency is required.

To participate in the online course you need a PC/laptop with a current browser (recommended: Chrome or Firefox) as well as a headset (or speakers and microphone), a webcam plus a stable internet connection.
