Event language: English
Many scholars today are inclined to use phrases like "a digital analysis of..." or "a digital approach to..." in their thesis abstracts or grant applications, hoping these terms will enhance the visibility and impact of their research projects. However, a significant number of researchers remain unclear about the true meaning of these terms. They may not fully understand the range of the digital methods of analysis available to the humanities, nor are they always aware of how to assess the relevance and applicability of these methods to their specific research questions.
This event provides a concise introduction to the diverse methods of digital analysis that can enrich research in the humanities. It also introduces the learners to basic Python syntax that can be used for implementing these methods in humanities research.
