03.08.2023 Female Career Talk
The ProTHM project of the Technical University of Central Hesse regularly provides information on the topic of "Paths to an HAW Professorship" and now offers an exciting event for young scientists.
The professorship at a university of applied sciences offers a versatile activity with high social relevance. The focus is on practice-oriented teaching and enriching exchange with young people. A great deal of freedom in terms of research and teaching as well as an excellent work-life balance make a professorship at the THM attractive. But how does one actually become a professor at the THM? What can application-oriented research and teaching at the THM look like? How can a career as an HAW professor be combined with family planning and a good work-life balance?
We will explore these and other questions in a panel discussion moderated by Emily Härtel. Female professors from different departments of the THM will give insights into their very personal career paths and everyday professional life. In addition, you will have the opportunity to ask your questions during an open discussion round and to get into conversation with each other afterwards over finger food and drinks.
Panelists: Prof. Kerstin Herrmann (Muk), Prof. Cathrin Schröder (EI), Prof. Katja Specht (Vizepräsidentin, WI)
When? Thursday, 19. Oktober, 18:00 bis 20:00 Uhr
Where? Makerspace, Walltorstraße 57, 35390 Gießen
