Annemarie Schimmel - female scientist, linguistic genius, poetess and "collector of friends"
Exhibition management: Paulina Rinne
This special exhibition, located in the Museum of Religions, will honor the life of the internationally renow-ned Islamic and religious studies scholar Annemarie Schimmel (1922-2003). During the last year, Paulina Rinne, PhD student of the Phillips-University, has done extensive research regarding this outstanding scholar. The project was funded by the International Association for the History of Religions (IAHR), the Women Scholars Network (WSN), the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), the Research Center for Gender Studies (GfZ) as well as the Equal Opportunities Representatives of the Philipps-University.
