Pre-Arranged Tours
In addition to our regular hours on Monday, we offer tours of both the permanent collection and specialized, thematic tours of certain portions of the collection, particularly for groups and school classes. General tours provide an insight into the religious diversity of our world and the collection but can also focus on a particular religious tradition, e.g. Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, or Ancient Egypt. Thematic tours can focus on a variety of topics within the Study of Religions, e.g. the life of a particular religious community and their rituals. Please arrange tours, particularly any special requests or specific themes, at least two weeks in advance with the department secretary. Entrance and guided tours are free, but donations are most welcome.
Additional Tours
Regular tours, which are open to the public, as well as short, themed tours, also take place as part of the “Religion on Wednesdays” series.

You can investigate Buddhism in Southeast Asia or Hinduism and Buddhism in China. If you get stuck, our staff on the third floor will be glad to help you out. We look forward to your visit and good luck!
