The Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Ukraine" for the PRIF Blog, Farnaz Desfouli-As, research associate at the Collaborative Research Center "Dynamics of Security," and Max Lesch (HSFK) look at the latest findings of the Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Ukraine. Their argument focuses on violations of international humanitarian law. In their view, it is important to strengthen such commissions, as their use - especially in cases where the international community has no reasonable prospect of accountability and justice due to a lack of political will - is essential.
