17.01.2023 The Collaborative Research Center "Dynamics of Security" welcomes visiting fellow Emily Whewell

From 15.1.2023 Dr. Emily Whewell is a visiting researcher at the Collaborative Research Center "Dynamics of Security" for 6 months. Previously, she was a research associate at the Max Planck Institute for Legal History and Theory in Frankfurt am Main. At the Collaborative Research Center she will be working in subproject C08 "Security and Empire. Dynamics of securitization in colonial spaces of the British Empire, 1780-1920" - headed by Prof. Dr. Benedikt Stuchtey. There, she is pursuing a research project on British imperial security laws and their effects in Indo-Chinese and Myanmar-Chinese borderlands.
