In cooperation with hr-iNFO, the Collaborative Research Center 138 "Dynamics of Security" organized a panel discussion.

On July 5, 2017, representatives from science, politics and the church came together for the panel discussion "Security instead of peace: The End of a Utopia?", which was organized by the Collaborative Research Center 138 "Dynamics of Security" together with hr-iNFO. Omid Nouripour, security policy spokesman for the Green Party and member of the Bundestag's Foreign Affairs Committee, historians Prof. Christoph Kampmann and Prof. Eckart Conze of Philipps-Universität Marburg, Bishop Martin Hein of the Evangelical Church of Kurhessen-Waldeck, Ralf Beste, Head of the Planning Staff at the German Foreign Office, and Dr. Angela Marciniak, Scientific Coordinator of the Collaborative Research Center Transregio 138 "Dynamics of Security," discussed key differences between "security" and "peace" and explored the related sociopolitical consequences.
