01.09.2023 The Collaborative Research Center "Dynamics of Security" welcomes visiting fellow Norman Ingram

The CRC welcomes Professor Norman Ingram (Concordia University, Montreal, Canada), who will be a visiting fellow of the CRC and the Chair of Modern History (Prof. Conze) at the University Marburg from September to December 2023. Prof. Ingram is a renowned expert in the field of French history as well as the history of international relations with a focus on the history of human rights and pacifism. He is an internationally renowned representative of Historical Peace Studies (see his book: The Politics of Dissent. Pacifism in France 1919-1939, Oxford 2011) and currently working on a new project with the working title: "Putative Pacifists. French Republican Reactions to Peace Proposals, 1914-1919." Prof. Ingram is very interested in exchanging ideas about the relationship between Historical Security Studies, Critical Security Studies, and Historical Peace Studies.
