European Roma have long faced various forms and practices of securitization and have been portrayed as threats to political orders. This subproject explores the ways in which members of the Roma minority resist measures of securitization, challenge the heuristics underlying securitization, and develop diplomatic tactics, strategies, and narratives that potentially contribute to alternative representations.
