Applying for a Master's Program with a German Degree

The application and admission process for the Master's program is currently being restructured. This step-by-step process means there are temporarily two different application portals. Which one is the right portal for you depends on the program you wish to apply for. Please read the following information carefully to ensure that you can complete your application correctly. If you have any questions, feel free to contact our student hotline, Stud-i-fon, by phone.

Check First, Then Apply!

Depending on the program you're interested in, you may need to provide very specific qualifications and documentation for your application to be successful. Some programs also require an additional Eligibility Assessment Process (EAP). So, before you apply, make sure to check whether you meet these requirements and have the necessary documents. You can find information about the individual admission requirements and the admission process on the specific program webpage.

1. Who applies through uni-assist?

The following list includes all programs whose applications for the first and higher semesters are processed through the uni-assist portal. You will find further details about registration and the application procedure via the links at the end of the list.

2. Who applies via Marvin?

For all other Master's programs, your application will be processed through the university's own application portal, Marvin. You can find out how to register and proceed with the application via the following links:

3. Exceptions

Two of our Master's programs are offered in cooperation with other educational institutions outside the university. The application process for these programs differs from the procedures described above. For more information, please refer to the linked program titles.
