The "Marburger Studientelefon", or Stud-i-fon for short, has been the central service point for prospective and current students since 2005. Our team of student assistants is here to support you with any questions or concerns related to studying at Marburg University – from the start of your studies to graduation.
You do not know who to contact with your questions? You need help navigating the many services and counseling options available at the university?
Then you’ve come to the right place! We will answer your questions and, if necessary, direct you to the appropriate staff and counseling services.
We can help you with questions about:
- Study programs and application procedures
- Orientation services and starting your studies
- Study organization (e.g., re-registration, semester fees, changing majors, disenrollment, etc.)
- Deadlines, forms, and applications
- Studying abroad and international programs
- And much more!

Please note that from June to September, we experience a higher volume of calls, which may lead to longer waiting times, especially around deadlines. Additionally, our student assistants cannot provide information about received e-mails or the status, completeness, or correctness of your application. These inquiries are handled exclusively by the admissions offices. We are happy to advise you on the application and enrollment processes, but we cannot guarantee the accuracy of your application specifically.
Some questions regarding the status of your personal application cannot be answered over the phone. Depending on the situation, we will provide you with the relevant email addresses or contact details of the responsible department. During peak application periods, some matters may take longer to resolve. Thank you for your patience!
