The Data Science bachelor program consists of a well-founded education in computer science, with elective possibilities in the field of data analysis, as well as a basic education in mathematics and statistics.
Major topics
The program focuses its major topics in the fields of software development, scalable data management, machine learning and statistical analysis, which are important to industry and science, supplemented by practical fundamentals from the field of applied mathematics.
Objectives
A degree in the "Data Science" bachelor program qualifies you for work in business, administration and science in which methods from computer science and statistics are used to analyze large and heterogeneous amounts of data ("big data"), as well as for a master program in Data Science, Computer Science and Mathematics.
Successful graduates of the "Data Science" bachelor program are specifically trained to solve data analytical problems. For that reason, there are excellent professional prospects for them! Their professional fields are often diverse and interdisciplinary. Smart phone and Internet technologies, the automobile industry, banks and insurance companies or consulting are only a few examples of industries in which data analysts are in very high demand.
