The course of study in the Computer Science bachelor's program consists of a solid education in computer science with elective options, a fundamental education in mathematics, an internship for professional orientation and from a minor subject.
Major topics
During the later course of study, there is the option to choose between various advanced modules such as Logic, Software Technology, Theoretical Computer Science, Database Systems and selected topics of Computer Science, creating an individualized major topic.
The subjects of Business Administration, Biology, Geography, Mathematics, Physics and Political Economics can be chosen as minor subjects for students as of the 2016/17 winter semester.
Objectives
There are excellent professional prospects as a result of continually developing fields of work in which well-founded computer science skills are required. Successful graduates are sought after in nearly all fields in which computer and information technology is used. They perform development and programming tasks for hardware and software, employ their skills in complex information, communication and control systems and also work in the fields of system administration, training or teaching.
